First of all, what are topicals?
Topical products come in the form of lotions, balms, oils and creams. They’re made with active cannabinoids that can be absorbed through the skin for localized relief of pain, soreness, and inflammation.
CBD Topicals are an easy way to supplement your daily CBD ingestion. You can apply them directly to your skin or use topicals in conjunction with other products like vaporizers and edibles. CBD Cream 1000mg and other CBD Topicals are typically manufactured using carrier oils (such as hemp seed oil) which make them perfect for absorption into the skin without having to worry about any messiness or undesired residue left behind!
How do they work?
They act both by interacting with CB1 and CB2 receptors in our endocannabinoid system, but the way they interact with this system is not identical to that of an ingested product. When you ingest a CBD edible or use a vape cartridge that is high in cannabinoids, the effects will be felt more over time as it enters your bloodstream and interacts with these systems. With topicals, however, you’ll notice effects almost immediately since the cannabinoids are absorbed directly into your skin!
How do I use them?
Different CBD products have different serving sizes and this also applies to topicals. It’s best to consult the label of whatever product you’re using for specific directions and measurements. However, in general it’s recommended to apply topicals like lotion by massaging them into your skin and covering the surrounding area.
How to use CBD topicals:
Firstly, ensure that you sanitize them before applying – so maybe take a nice shower beforehand! After using the restroom, wash your hands and then take off any jewelry you’re wearing on your wrists such as watches or bracelets if possible. Take out one bead at a time and roll between your fingers until it warms up slightly (this will help it absorb into your skin). Apply right where you feel pain or soreness but also apply a little bit extra to areas of inflammation such as the joints! You could even put a few beads directly over a vein for precise application, especially if you find yourself with varicose veins from prolonged sitting or poor circulation. Make sure to wash your hands after application, and avoid contact with eyes and any irritated areas on the skin before application. Also, try to avoid making these beads wet until you’re ready for use, since they could dissolve in water.
How long do topicals take to work?
Different products have different effects so it’s difficult to give precise timing for when results should be felt from any given product. In general though, you’ll notice effects almost immediately since the cannabinoids are absorbed directly into your skin! Due to this method of absorption through the skin and into our endocannabinoid system via CB receptors, topicals tend to work much faster than other forms of CBD ingestion such as edibles or vapes/tinctures.
